Sam placed both babies in their respective cribs, kissing them softly and brushing their blond hair off of their faces. Closing the doors quietly, Sam snuck back downstairs, finding Quinn already on the couch and the movie going through the previews. Sam had remembered them watching this movie when Quinn was pregnant and when the babies were first born, something that was a family time moment for them. Collapsing onto the couch, Sam instinctively reached over and pecked Quinn’s cheek before pulling her to his body. “Hey baby,” Sam greeted, smiling down at Quinn before focusing his attention on the movie. “I’m really proud of you. The birthday party was awesome.” 

Quinn smiled when Sam joined her on the couch, her curling into his side something that just happened naturally. “Hi, Sammy,” she murmured when he greeted her. Her eyes watching the start of the movie, she looked over at her husband when he spoke again. “I still cried. The birthday party was beautiful. I think Lucy and Flynn really enjoyed it. They definitely enjoyed the cake,” she giggled, before pressing a kiss to Sam’s cheek, reaching over to intertwine her fingers with his. “Have you cried yet? Our babies are one. How can you not cry? It’s so sad. They’re growing up already.” Quinn pouted as she spoke, listening to the movie while she spoke to Sam.

The babies were exhausted and after their birthday party, something that left Sam and Quinn awake and alone in their home. After the last of the guests had left, Sam held a fast asleep Flynn against his shoulder as he kissed his mom goodbye before walking over to Quinn, who was holding a knocked out Lucy against hers. Taking a look at their backyard, Sam knew it was going to take time to clean up, but he didn’t want to do that just now. “Hey baby,” he greeted softly Quinn, leaning down to kiss her lips. They didn’t need the twins to wake up at this moment. “If you hand me Luce, I’ll take the babies to their cribs,” Sam suggested, opening his free hand if Quinn wanted to hand over their daughter. 

Quinn could not believe that the twins were already one. Their birthday party was already over, and their backyard was a mess. The backyard could wait until the morning. Holding Lucy in her arms, she giggled softly at the sleeping baby. Smiling at Sam who was at her side in seconds, she placed a kiss to Lucy’s forehead, before handing Sam the baby. “Night, babies. Mommy loves you,” she cooed to the both of them, before looking back to her husband. “I love you too,” she told him with a smirk. Walking inside their house, she found the movie that they were going to watch, and set it up. Once Tangled was ready to go, Quinn plopped down onto their couch with a content sigh.
